What is it?

The Producer Insight Panel is comprised of producers who send in insurance and investment marketing material, direct mail and email communications. Panelists are compensated monthly and earn the opportunity to be a part of monthly drawings for their participation.

The information collected by this study is used to educate insurance and investment companies in how to work most effectively with independent producers.

Key business questions answered by this data include:

  • What are the motivating factors to get producers excited to sell products?
  • What kinds of commissions should we offer producers?
  • What is the best incentive/bonus program — cash, trips or prizes?
  • What is the best way to communicate with producers via email?
  • What is the best way to educate producers about new products?

The Producer Insight Panel is always open to recruiting new panelists. Quality participation is essential in shaping the future of marketing in the insurance and investment industry. Referrals to the producer insight panel study are encouraged and rewarded. Be sure to remind your professional counterpart or customer service representative referrals to use your name when signing up for the study..

Panelist Basics

Panelists send us all marketing materials, direct mail and emails received from insurance and investment companies. Panelists are compensated monthly and earn the opportunity to be part of monthly monetary drawings for their participation.

Sending mail and marketing material

Panelists receive a packet of pre-addressed and prepaid envelopes once a month. Throughout the week, panelists collect direct mail and marketing materials that should be placed in the envelope. Each Friday, panelists drop the envelope in the mail.

Sending Email

Panelists will receive emails from insurance and investment companies and forward them to us. When you sign up you will receive a personalized email address to forward emails you receive related to this study. Attachments in emails can only be forwarded if they are PDF files. Zipped files will not be processed.

Tips on Participation

Many of our panelists help us by proactively seeking out information. The following methods have been used by panelists to increase participation and to maximize your payment potential:
  • Collecting emails and direct mail pieces from other producers in the office
  • Getting placed on company direct mail and email lists
  • Collecting handouts at trade shows and conferences
  • Asking representatives for physical marketing materials
  • Asking for additional copies when requesting information and providing us the extra
  • Forwarding emails, PDFs and other electronic documents
  • Collecting information about all of a company’s products

What about Panelist Privacy and Confidentiality?

Panelists can expect all information given to us will be 100% confidential. All unique identifying information such as email address, name, address, phone number, account number and invitation number are eliminated before making the mail/email available to end users of the material. Privacy is important to us.

FAQ

What is done with the information collected?
How much information should Panelists send and when should it be sent?
When do panelists receive envelopes?
What if I have additional questions?

How and when do I get paid?

Panelists are paid based on the total amount of usable pieces submitted in a given month:

PLEASE NOTE: In order to get paid the minimum each month, you must submit at least five usable pieces during the month.

All participants who return at least five usable pieces will be issued an electronic payment once per month via PayQuicker.com, our secure direct deposit provider. These payments can then be transferred to a checking or savings account of your choosing with no cost to you. Payments are made the last week of each month. More information on PayQuicker.com can be found on their website by reading this document.

In order to be paid by the Producer Insight Panel, you may need to provide your TIN (Tax Identification Number), which is your SSN or FEIN. It is an IRS requirement that anyone earning more than $600 in a calendar year must report that income. The Producer Insight Panel will issue proper tax documentations to the IRS, as well as the individual, for those that meet this requirement. The providing of a social security number is standard for all panelists. You do not have to provide this information when initially signing up with the Producer Insight Panel. If you earn over $600 through monthly payments or other incentives, our Accounting Team will request the Social Security number to release any future payments. All Social Security numbers are hosted on a secure website and only the Producer Insight Panel's Accounting Team has access to these details. Should you require any more information around the payment process, you may contact the Producer Insight Panel at (866) 470-3649.

Panelists will receive an invitation to the PayQuicker website when they have earned their first payment from the panel.
